LEGS:

Your legs are the largest muscle group on your body and have significant fat burning potential. If you have a thicker body type, weak legs muscles can make it easier for cellulite show through. For smaller framed individuals underdeveloped legs can make you look too thin. Either way, your legs will benefit from a combination of machine and free weight exercises. Every G-Werx machine allows you to do ski jump squats and cable leg kick backs to exercise your thighs and gluteus (buns).* Reclined low-ab leg lifts on G-Werx multi-position bench, tones the legs and tightens abs at the same time. With our Ultimate Werx™ you can do quadriceps extensions and hamstrings curls to tone and strengthen your legs. Other beneficial exercise including dumbbell squats, lunges, seated calf raises and exercise walking are more effective when combined with G-Werx machine exercise.

Most trainers categorize the legs into three main muscle groups: quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves. Your quadriceps (quads) are the largest group of muscles on your body. Located on the top front of the leg they are commonly called thigh muscles. They primarily flex your hip, extend your knee and are essential in walking, running, pedaling, and for kicking the legs while swimming. Your Hamstrings run along the back side of your leg, from the hip to the knee joint. The three muscles that make up the hamstrings allow for rotation and flexion of your leg by lifting the heel towards the buttocks. Calves are at the back of the lower leg (work with the anterior tibialis muscle along the shin) and move the ankle joint. The two muscles that make up the calves extend your foot at the ankle and flex your toes, which helps you walk, run and jump.
